Coolsheet is an innovative climate tech solution, harnessing the waste heat absorbed by solar panels which can then be stored and used, instead of being lost to the atmosphere.
This renewable thermal energy can displace the need to burn fossil fuels in heating water.
We think this is way cooler than coal.
Efficiency first
Coolsheet also reduces the operating temperature of solar panels which increases their electrical generation efficiency by around 4% for every 10°C drop in temperature.
Often, the extra electricity generated from cooling the panels can be enough to offset the energy used by the pumps required to run the Coolsheet system, making this potentially a carbon negative product (depending on site-specific parameters).
The perfect combination
The Coolsheet is an innovative approach to manufacturing solar PV Thermal (PVT) solutions.
Coolsheets can be combined with virtually any solar panel on a new build or retro-fit installation.
Water is the most commonly used ‘heat transfer fluid’ for PVT systems but different fluids can be used for different temperatures and environments (e.g. glycol is often used in cold climates and the Coolsheet is rated to run salt water or chlorinated water as well).
A solution we think you’ll warm to
A Coolsheet system can be integrated into existing or new residential, commercial and industrial process heat and hot water systems in several different ways.
We can make direct use of the water, for example in swimming pools, or employ a closed-loop hot water tank system to generate vast amounts of low grade thermal energy. This pre-heat solution can either reduce the energy (gas or electric) required to heat water or act as a highly efficient heat source for water to water heat pumps.

The Coolsheet system has been specifically designed to withstand the climate extremes experienced in Australia, where solar panel surface temperatures regularly reach 65°C and can often exceed 80°C in summer.
Traditional solar hot water systems are high pressure. Coolsheet is a low-pressure system which significantly improves reliability.
Coolsheet comes with a ‘fit and forget’ 25 year warranty:
